About the Role
We're looking for a Founding Account Executive to own revenue generation from the ground up. This is a highly hands-on, individual contributor role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves building from zero, and wants meaningful ownership over how sales gets done. You'll work closely with the founders and leadership team and be responsible for sourcing, closing, and expanding early customer relationships while helping define Ezra's go-to-market motion, sales process, and playbooks. You will shape the foundation future sales hires will build on. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be both a top performer and a system builder.
Core Responsibilities
•Own the full sales cycle: outbound prospecting, discovery, qualification, deal structuring, negotiation, and close.
•Drive early revenue and customer traction across target segments (e.g., infrastructure developers, capital providers, asset owners).
•Build and manage a high-quality pipeline with disciplined forecasting and deal hygiene.
•Develop and refine messaging, ICP definitions, qualification criteria, and deal frameworks.
•Create repeatable sales processes that can scale (CRM workflows, discovery frameworks, pricing logic, objection handling).
•Experiment rapidly with outbound, inbound, partnerships, and founder-led sales motions to identify what works.
•Work closely with founders, product, and marketing to align on ICP, positioning, and narrative.
•Help define what "product-market fit" looks like: Translate customer insight into clear feedback for product and leadership to shape roadmap and positioning.
•Maintain clean CRM data and clear deal visibility.
•Contribute to revenue forecasting and pipeline health discussions.
•Help define early metrics and KPIs for sales performance.
Required Skills & Experience
•3-5+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in SaaS, fintech, climate tech, or enterprise software.
•Proven ability to close complex, consultative deals with senior decision-makers.
•Experience operating in early-stage environments where process is built, not inherited.
•Strong discovery and storytelling skills — you can translate messy problems into compelling value.
•Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by zero-to-one work.
•Highly self-directed, disciplined, and accountable.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience selling into private credit and financial institutions, infrastructure, energy, or asset-backed businesses.
•Experience at Seed–Series B startups.
•Familiarity with modern sales tooling (HubSpot, Salesforce, Notion, Apollo, etc.).
